  • Reminder: MMAjunkie.com on Twitter
As a reminder, MMAjunkie.com has joined the world of Twitter.

For the uninitiated, Twitter is a real-time short messaging service. Basically, the service, which works over multiple networks and on many Internet-enabled devices, allows quick-hit blog posts.

The MMAjunkie.com team will have live Twitter updates throughout UFC 100's week of activities and other major events throughout the year.

  • "The Sunday Junkie" deadline reminder, win a free Fighters Only subscription!
As a reminder, submissions for the upcoming edition of "The Sunday Junkie" are due Sunday at 10 a.m. ET.

As always, all topics (including the upcoming UFC 100 event, Kazuo Misaki's recent Sengoku punishment and next month's Gina Carano vs. Cris "Cyborg" Santos headliner) are open for discussion. The person who sends in the submission we deem the best - based on timeliness of subject, clarity and overall persuasiveness - will be invited onto Monday's edition of MMAjunkie.com Radio to discuss the topic.

Each winner will also receive a free year's subscription to Fighters Only, the world's leading MMA and lifestyle magazine!

  • Minnesota MAA's Greg Nelson happy in background as Brock Lesnar moves to forefront
As the athletes of the UFC continue to gain attention, so, too, do the teams that help them prepare for each bout.

While most hardcore fans can run off a quick list of the best trainers and academies in the sport, Minnesota Martial Arts Academy Head Instructor and Owner Greg Nelson's name doesn't always come directly to mind.

And though UFC stalwarts Brock Lesnar, Sean Sherk and Brock Larson, among others, call the academy home, Nelson doesn't mind staying in the background.

  • UFC vets Douglas Evans, Nissen Osterneck headline free event for Shark Fight
Forced to deal with the cancellation of an outdoor event on June 27 due to inclement weather, the Texas-based organization Shark Fight is making it up to MMA fans in a big way.

The promotion is hosting the aptly named "Shark Fight 5.5: Nothing to Lose" on July 18 in Amarillo, Texas, and is offering free admission to all attendees.

UFC veteran Douglas Evans (6-5) will meet Doug Frey (5-1) in the evening's main event for Shark Fight's vacant featherweight title, while fellow UFC veteran Nissen Osterneck (5-2) is also scheduled to appear.

  • Pittsburgh's first MMA event draws the attention of UFC, though perhaps not as intended
While Still Standing Productions, LLC recently conducted Pittsburgh's first MMA event, the organization may find itself needing to make a few changes before a announcing a second card.

The Ultimate Cage Fighting Challenge has drawn the attention of the sport's biggest organization, the UFC, and a copyright infringement claim may be forthcoming.

UFC Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner recently told the MMAjunkie.com Radio Network that the UFC was currently looking at potential action against the upstart organization.

  • UFC Fight Night 19 official for Sept. 16 in Oklahoma City, tickets on sale July 9
The UFC's first trip to Oklahoma in nearly 15 years is now official.

As MMAjunkie.com first reported in May, UFC Fight Night 19 - which will serve as the lead-in for Spike TV's "The Ultimate Fighter 10" debut - will take place in Oklahoma City.

With the Ford Center currently closed for renovations, the neighboring 15,000-seat Cox Convention Center will house the event.
