|
| Rich Chavez born december 15th 1981. Chavez has been training in BJJ since 2001. He was introduced to the sport by well known Diego Sanchez. Chavez originally started training for the cardio and his main focus at the time was body building. Soon after he focused all his time and effort to MMA. Chavez trains two months out of the year in boxing at Adam Guerras in Houston, TX. Chavez fights at 155lbs, which took him a little over three years to get down to that weight. When he started training he weighted 215lbs. Chavez lives and trains out of team Jacksons in Albuquerque, NM along with well know fighters Keith Jardin, Rashad Evans, Joey Villasenor, Cowboy Cerrone, Nate Marquart, Leonard Garcia and often trains with Diego Sanchez. Chavez loves what he does and wouldn't change it for the world. "Being a pro fighter is my dream come true" says Chavez. He adds "The only thing I want to add is a world title!". |
